MSLOC Book Talk: Ready for Disruption?
Aaron Olson and BK Simerson, co-authors of Strategy and Change, will discuss how business leaders can make insightful decisions and manage risk in unpredictable environments during an online event hosted by Northwestern University’s Master of Science in Learning and Organizational Change (MSLOC) program.
The book talk begins at 1 p.m. CDT Aug. 22 and will be moderated by MSLOC faculty member and alumnus Terrence Roche.
Olson and Simerson began exploring leadership and strategy nearly 20 years ago while co-instructing in the MSLOC program. In 2015, they co-wrote Leading with Strategic Thinking, based on an MSLOC graduate course they created.
Their second book, Strategy and Change: How to Succeed in the Face of Accelerating Disruptive Innovation, covers major business developments and trends since 2015. It explores disruption from technological advancements, such as generative AI, as well as unforeseen crises, including the global COVID-19 pandemic.
Strategy and Change, available Sept. 23, is co-authored by Ward Ching and Richard Waterer.
