The MS in Technology, People, and Policy program prepares graduates for high-demand roles at the intersection of technology, ethics, and policy. Professional Development

In collaboration with faculty in Northwestern University's McCormick School of Engineering, Pritzker School of Law, and Kellogg School of Management, the program features a monthly speaker series showcasing industry leaders, creative professionals, scholars, and policymakers in the tech policy space. These sessions will be accessible to both in-person and online students.

New and Emerging Careers

  • Technology Policy Analysts: These professionals will be responsible for analyzing the potential impacts of new technologies on society, economy, and governance. They will work with policymakers to develop regulations and guidelines to mitigate risks and ensure ethical and responsible adoption of new technologies.
  • AI Ethics Specialists: With the increasing use of AI systems in decision-making processes, we'll need experts who can assess the ethical implications of AI algorithms and ensure they are unbiased, transparent, and aligned with societal values.
  • Human-Computer Interaction Researchers: As human-machine interactions become more prevalent, researchers in this field will play a crucial role in designing user-friendly interfaces and studying the psychological and behavioral aspects of human-technology interactions.
  • Digital Transformation Consultants: Organizations across industries will require consultants who can guide them through the process of digital transformation, leveraging new technologies while addressing potential challenges and mitigating risks.
