Biography

I am a National Board Certified Teacher and veteran Chicago Public Schools educator. My passions include bilingual education, elementary mathematics education, and developing strong systems of support and development for educators, especially early career teachers. In 2025, I was awarded the ISBE Cook County Co-Regional Teacher of the Year. In 2023, I received a Fulbright Teaching Research Award to study the context of immigration within public education in Medellín, Colombia. I play an active role in my union defending the rights of educators, students, and families, fighting for the schools Chicago deserves.
