Job Openings for Students New to Research
Several School of Education and Social Policy faculty members are looking for undergraduate students with no prior experience to help with research projects as part of the Undergraduate Research Assistant Program (URAP).
The program helps students with limited research experience design and carry out their own undergraduate research project under the guidance of experienced mentors in their field. All URAPs pay $15 per hour and the deadline for students to submit an application is 11:59 p.m. Monday, Nov 18. Faculty members are expected to make decisions by Dec. 1.

In addition, Shirin Vossoughi, assistant professor of learning sciences, is hiring a research assistant to work on a new project focused on inter-generational storytelling in the Iranian diaspora. The project will involve working with Iranians in the Chicagoland area through a local weekend Persian-language school that serves children, youth and families.
This is a paid position, open to undergraduate and graduate students, that begins as soon as possible, but no later than the start of the winter quarter. The time commitment is 10 hours a week. To apply, send a cover letter and resume to shirin.vossoughi@northwestern.edu
