MSLOC Launches Updated Career Center
Northwestern University’s Master’s in Learning and Organizational Change (MSLOC) is excited to announce the launch of the LOC Career Center—a dynamic updated resource designed to empower MSLOC and MOD students as they navigate careers that align with their values, strengths, and aspirations.
The LOC Career Center offers a centralized, user-friendly platform that connects our learners with the support, tools, and opportunities they need to thrive professionally.
A Career Resource Built for the Way MSLOC and MOD Learners Grow
The platform provides guidance and support for individuals at all stages of their career journey, from early exploration to senior leadership transitions.
Key features of the Career Center include curated career toolkits, job boards, and resume development resources, as well as access to regular programming and networking opportunities within our community. With the addition of new interview training tools provided by Big Interview, our graduate students will now have multiple synchronous and asynchronous opportunities to learn and practice their job search skills.
Personalized Coaching: One-on-One Support That Makes a Difference
Standout features of the Career Center are its robust career advising and coaching services. Students can schedule one-on-one sessions with experienced career coaches who offer deep expertise in areas such as interview preparation, personal branding, offer negotiation, leadership development, and sector-specific career planning.
These sessions are designed to be actionable and personalized—whether users are preparing for a career pivot, re-entering the workforce, or exploring a new professional identity. Coaches also provide support around common inflection points, including resume and LinkedIn feedback, mock interviews, and networking strategy.
This individualized support, paired with our reflective approach to professional growth, makes the LOC Career Center a uniquely valuable tool for learners looking to lead with clarity and confidence.
“In just one session, the coach helped me recognize and communicate my strengths more clearly. Their feedback helped me translate my experience in a way that aligned with the role and the employer. I left feeling more grounded, confident, and prepared—and that practice helped me work through the nerves and land another interview."
A Space for Connection, Collaboration, and Contribution
In addition to one-on-one resources, the Career Center serves as a hub for community connections. The platform hosts discussion boards and virtual networking opportunities where members can offer support, ask questions, share insights, and build relationships with each other across cohorts and career stages. This is just one more example of the collaborative culture that is a cornerstone of the student experience.
