Biography

I have been actively engaged in the field of education since 2006, bringing a diverse background to my professional journey. My experience began in Brazil, where I taught English as a Second Language in a public-school setting, catering to a wide range of students from Kindergarten to 12th grade, including teaching in a GED program. I also ventured into ESL instruction at an English Language Center, further honing my expertise. Upon relocating to the U.S., I transitioned to the Early Childhood field, focusing on preschool education. Following several years as a preschool teacher, I assumed the role of Program Coordinator at the same school, overseeing program administration and curriculum development for children from Birth to Kindergarten. When I’m not teaching an MSED course, I serve as an Assistant Professor and Chair of ESL/Bilingual Education at National Louis University.
