All paths lead to the same goal – mastering the nuanced understanding of how people in organizations learn and develop. Whether you're here for the graduate certificate, the full Master's, or the executive certificate, you'll benefit from a shared academic foundation under the prestigious Master’s in Learning & Organizational Change program.

  • Graduate Certificate in Coaching: A comprehensive four-course journey over 12 months, designed for students across the U.S. thanks to our unique course format.
  • Master’s Path: Graduate Certificate + Degree: Integrate the OLCC within the Master's in Learning & Organizational Change program, infusing your coaching expertise with a deeper dive into organizational dynamics.
  • Executive Education Certificate: Perfect for professionals seeking a concise, open-enrollment pathway to coaching excellence. Foram Sheth

This is the best education I could have received, because knowing myself is knowing how I can show up as a leader. This experience opened my eyes to the world of coaching. When I learned the practice of coaching, I realized my talents and passion were better suited for coaching, not consulting.”

— Foram Sheth, OLCC 2016, MSLOC 2016

Shereen Sater

A coach isn’t a “problem solver,” so more years doesn’t equal a stronger coach. Rather, the ability to create a safe space, actively listen, and observe/ challenge patterns in the way the client can hear it does. ”

— Shereen Sater, OLCC 2020, MSLOC 2021

Post-OLCC Options for Additional Credentialing

Anyone interested in pursuing a certification beyond OLCC should, at a minimum, consider their alignment with the credentialing body, the reasons they want or need the certification, and how they would use it.

Board Certified Coach (BCC) Credential

Northwestern University Master’s of Science in Learning and Organizational Change has been qualified by the Center for Credentialing & Education, Inc (CCE) as a Registered Credential Training Provider RCTP# RCTP1020-BCC, to provide training courses qualified for credit for eligibility for the Board Certified Coach (BCC) credential. Courses that qualify for CCE credit are clearly identified. Successful completion of the four-course coaching certificate results in 120 hours of professional coach training that is approved to be applied toward the BCC credential. MSLOC is solely responsible for all aspects of the training courses. The requirements are here.

International Coaching Federation

Upon completion of the OLCC, those graduates interested in a credential from the International Coaching Federation (ICF) will have enough coach education hours to apply through ICF’s Portfolio Path for the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) Credential, Professional Certified Coach (PCC) Credential, or Master Certified Coach (MCC) Credential. The full requirements are listed here.
