Flexible Certificate Options

A new cohort begins every Fall quarter. Certificate candidates complete four required courses, plus additional cohort learning activities, during the one-year program.

All classes are in our hybrid format, which allows you to pursue the certificate no matter where you live in the US. For each course, classes meet virtually throughout the term and assemble for a 2.5-day in-person session on the Evanston campus.

Degree plus Certificate Option

You may choose to earn your certificate as an additional credential to the Master of Science in Learning and Organizational Change (MSLOC) by integrating it within the 15 credits required for the degree. Sequence the certificate and degree according to your schedule and priorities.

Certificate-only Option

You may choose to earn your certificate as a stand-alone graduate program credential by completing the four required courses plus cohort learning activities over one year.

Hear from Our Students

Ashley Eddleman

DOEC not only changed how I approach all of my work and projects, but it more importantly changed how I think about problems. How can I break down the problem-solving process to avoid assumptions, bias, poor solutioning, etc., while also speeding things up so my team is continuously gaining feedback and making adjustments. ”

— Ashley Eddleman, DOEC 2021, MSLOC 2022

Jamie Shah

Situations at work are likely to change, repeatedly and unexpectedly. DOEC has helped me understand the importance of adapting a continuous mindset and to remain fluid to address these changes with more confidence.”

— Jamie Shah, MSLOC 2021, DOEC 2021
