New Employee Site

New staff should visit Northwestern's New Employee site, where they will be able to find everything they need to complete their onboarding, including:

  • Essential form information
  • NETID and myHR Activation
  • Parking and Transit

Essential Information for your First Week at SESP

Please read through this list of essential information to complete your onboarding at SESP.

Timekeeping

Non-exempt employees must submit time worked for each scheduled day. In the past, some employees had timesheets pre-populated with work hours. Timesheets will no longer be pre-populated.

Exempt employees must record their time off only; regular worked time should not be recorded. Official University holidays will be pre-populated for all non-exempt and exempt employees.

Here’s a link to the Workforce webpage, if you’d like to enter time or check your paid time accrual balances.  This is also where you can find more information on using Workforce and entering your time. New Employee Orientation

In the coming weeks, you will receive an invitation to attend a new employee orientation session. Please note that registration for Northwestern New Employee Orientation Part 1 & 2 will happen automatically based on your start date.
